Code of Conduct

To All:

The referees and coaches who participate in the AYSO program are not professionals. They are all volunteers who give freely of their time. Some are teenagers who are helping the league out because there is a shortage of adult volunteers. It is important to understand that the knowledge and skill levels of the coaches and referees are not going to be at the professional level. In fact, many will be new comers to the game. Please keep in mind that mistakes are going to be made. All we strive to provide our kids is a safe, fair, and fun environment in which to play soccer.

Unfortunately, adult misbehavior seems to becoming more and more of a problem in youth sports. Whether participating as a coach, refereeing a game, or simply watching from the sidelines, adults can sometimes can get caught up in the game and lose control. It has been shown, however, that having a code of conduct helps decrease this problem. With this in mind, Region 795 will be distributing Code of Conduct form when the season begins and asks that all adults read and sign the form. It serves as a nice reminder that we are all here to have fun.

Thank you for your cooperation
